- Digitization of THT Soldering: greater efficiency, quality, and smart integration into production processes
Startec has completed a project focused on innovation and digitization of the production department with the introduction of advanced, highly automated technology for THT (Through-Hole Technology) soldering, made possible by the installation of the selective soldering machine.
This initiative represents a concrete step toward a more modern, controlled, and interconnected production process, with measurable benefits in terms of efficiency, quality, and traceability.
Project Objectives
The initiative was launched to:
- increase the level of automation in the THT process;
- improve repeatability and quality of soldering;
- enable more comprehensive traceability of the process;
- reduce operational errors and waste;
- lay the groundwork for increasingly integrated and “smart” production.
Results Achieved
With the introduction of THT selective soldering technology, we have achieved:
- improved production efficiency (a more stable and standardized process);
- increased quality and reduced non-conformities;
- greater traceability of parameters and processes;
- reduced errors and energy consumption;
- enabling an interconnected production system with various business processes.
Smart integration: more connected production
A key element of the project is the ability to integrate the new technology into a broader production ecosystem: not only welding automation, but also interconnection with business processes, supporting control, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
